Communication / Voice chat
Keep communication inside the walk
Big Walk is designed around proximity voice and text. Both share intentional distance limits and work with in-game communication tools.
What the official guidance confirms
- A microphone is optional: in-game text chat can be used for the whole game.
- Outside voice chat or sitting in one room bypasses communication challenges and can make parts of the game stop making sense.
- For mic issues, check Settings > Audio, microphone activity, device mute, hold-to-talk, and moderation silencing.
- Echo usually means a microphone is picking up speaker output; isolate the player and use headphones where possible.

03Full check
Test one player at a time, move to headphones for echo, then restart the game after changing system permissions.
